Antique Victorian gold coral earrings, circa 1870, Etruscan revival drops exquisitely hand made by a master jeweller over a century ago. Made in warm 15ct yellow gold their elongated shields feature delicate goldsmithing techniques of Cannetille and Granulation with an eye catching salmon-orange coral cabochon set in a classical collet. Each earring features a border of ten small round gold beads evocative of a rosary decade (10 Hail Mary's), enhancing the archaeological revival motif. These earrings are a rare, one-o-a-kind example of refined, classic Victorian charm.
